Amdavadi youths rally for peace

Good morning friends.  After my morning walk I took a few minute rest before doing my another work.  While  resting I  read some news in The Times of India and I agree with this peace rally they are doing, if it will be the positive result of making our country peaceful.  Terrorize free from those who do not know the importance of each life.

A group of young, bright and angry denizens gathered close to the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) campus on Thursday evening for a protest against the terror strikes across the country.

It was a people’s initiative which drew a crowd of around 300 people to light candles and sign a petition against the failure of the government to keep India safe.

Kevin Menon, an event manager who was one of the organizers of the protest, said, “It was not a just a peace march to remember our soldiers who lost their lives in the terror attack of Mumbai but was about terror strikes that have ravaged our country in the last one year. This is to ask the government and our politicians to own up for what they have done and all that they have not done. Why are we paying taxes, which are increased every year, if we are not even safe in our own houses?”

Savera Mehta, one of the participants at the protest march, said, “There is so much anger here and youth want to make their contribution in whichever way possible. There was slogan shouting and people came in with placards and posters. We spoke on the attacks and ended the protest singing the national anthem.”
