‘Ton’dulkar demolishes England, India go one up

Good Evening Friends, Congratulations to Indian cricket team, my favourit Sachin Tendulkar and all my Indian cricket lovers. Indian beat England in first test match at Chennai.  My star Tendulkar hits 41st Test hundred with a swept boundary as India set a record for a victorious fourth-innings run chase on home soil to beat England by six wickets in the first cricket test.

Riding on knocks from Sachin Tendulkar (103*), Virender Sehwag (83) and Yuvraj Singh (84*), India galloped from behind to beat England by 6 wickets in the first Test at Chennai and take a 1-0 lead.

After England declared their innings on the fourth day for 386 runs, the match saw a dramatic turnaround when Sehwag went berserk to give India a fantastic start. He laid the perfect foundation for his mates to capitalize and was aptly adjudged the ‘Man of the Match’. Though he lost his wicket on Sunday, he had the match split wide open.

Guiding India to victory with a four that also fetched him his 41st Test hundred, Sachin Tendulkar on Monday rated his knock in the first Test against England among his “very, very special” centuries.

“If the team wins the 100 become very very special, so this is right among my special centuries,” said Tendulkar, who scored an unbeaten 103 to guide India to a six-wicket victory at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here.

The Mumbai batsman hoped his feat would give some happiness to the people after the recent terror attacks in his city.

“What happened in Mumbai was extremely unfortunate. Cricket cannot lessen whatever happened… I hope this 100 will give some amount of happiness to the people,” he said.

“I thank those who stood up to the terrorists and who made sure that they were captured or shot dead as the terrorists were many.

“I salute the NSG commandos, Taj hotel staff, police, public and everyone,” he said paying rich tributes to the victims of recent terror attacks in Mumbai and saluted those who salvaged the lives of others.

Tendulkar said it was a very difficult track to bat on and that made the win all the more significant.

“The gameplan was to get opportunity for scoring more and more runs because the wicket was such and we could not be bogged down by that.

“This become a very very special victory on a track where the ball was jumping awfully,” he said. more

India on a winning streak, take 5-0 lead

As per my and our expectations, Indian win fifth ODI against England by 6 wickets in cuttack. Congratulations to all team member as well as all my country man. As captain MS Dhoni had promised, there was no dip in the intensity level after the series win and India comfortably won the fifth ODI against England by 6 wickets in Cuttack.

After a blistering start from Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar, India lost the momentum a bit as they lost three wickets in quick succession, but then Dhoni along with Suresh Raina consolidated India’s position. Dhoni (50) added 94 runs for the fourth wicket and also raised his 25th ODI fifty before Graeme Sawnn trapped him in front of the wicket. After the captain’s dismissal, Raina and Rohit Sharma saw their side home with 38 balls to spare.

England pacer Steve Harmison gave their side the first breakthrough as he dismissed Sachin Tendulkar for 50 runs. Sachin tried to play a good length delivery towards the cover but missed it and the ball crashed into the stumps. The master blaster became the first batsman to raise 90th one-day half-century. He added 136 runs for the first wicket with Sehwag. The duo had the 100-run stand for the tenth time in a row.

Yuvraj Singh was the second Indian to depart as he perished to a soft dismissal from Ravi Bopara for 6 runs. Bopara took a simple catch in his follow through to see the Punjab dasher back in the hut. Sehwag, despite his blitzing knock, missed out on his ton as Stuart Broad caught him plumb in front for 91 runs. In his 73-ball long innings, Sehwag slammed fifteen fours and a six to raise 33rd ODI fifty, his seventh against England and grabbed his second ‘Man of the match’ award of the series.

Earlier riding on their captain’s knock, England made 270 runs at the loss of four wickets. Electing to bowl first, India started off nicely as pacer Zaheer Khan struck twice to dismiss openers Alistair Cook and Ravi Bopara. Cook was first to depart, as a good length delivery that was going outside the off-stump took an outside edge of his bat and landed in the hands of Tendulkar at the first slip. He could make just 10 runs. More

India is going to win 5th ODI against England?

Good Evenign friends,

Time to go home now. Indiva is playing so confidently against England on 5 th ODI. I just check the score card and India is at 193/3 at end of 32 over. India need 78 more runs in remaining 18 overs. It’s less than 5 run per over average they need.

Right now Indican Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is playing with 22 run and Suresh Raina with 19. Let’s hope they lead our team towards 4 th consecutive win over England. I don’t know what’s going to happen but I hope we will win.  Before these two bastman , Sehwag and Tendulkar played exclent game and take india to a respectfull score. Sehwag out at  91 run and miss his centure just for 9 runs. While little master Sachin Tendulkar makes 50.

Yuvi’s princely show gives India 2-0 lead

India Win the second ODI against England today. I like to congratulate Indian cricket team as well as all my country people. Yuvraj Singh was outstanding today. He made his century this match also and took 4 wickets of England.

Yuvraj Singh clobbered his second successive century and then scalped four key wickets as India maintained their stranglehold over England by thrashing the visitors by 54 runs in the second One-dayer on Monday. Yuvraj Singh blasted his second consecutive century and grabbed four wickets to guide India to a comfortable 54-run win over England today in the second one-day international.

The Indians rode on Yuvraj’s scintillating 118 to post a competitive 292 for nine and then bundled out England for 238 in 47 overs to take a 2-0 lead in the seven-match series. England collapsed to 238 all out after Yuvraj ended a 96-run second-wicket partnership by removing Owais Shah (58) and Matt Prior (38) in successive overs before returning 4-28 bowling slow left-arm spin on a sluggish pitch.

He proved his ability as a left-arm spinner by returning dream figures of 10-0-28-4 which included the prized scalps of Andrew Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen and Owais Shah. The Punjab swashbuckler stitched 134 runs for the fourth wicket with the in-form Gautam Gambhir (70) while the lanky Yousuf Pathan provided the late sparks to the innings with an savage unbeaten 50 off just 29 balls.

Yuvraj leads India’s big win over England

Bravo for Indian cricket player Yuvi. Today India defeats England in first one day international at Rajkot. Yuvraj Singh struck the second fastest one-day century by an Indian to set up the team’s thumping 158-run victory over England in the first one-day international on Friday. Despite some fighting knocks from skipper Kevin Pietersen and Ravi Bopara, England fell short by 158 runs as India won the first One-Day International of the seven-match series in Rajkot.

The 26-year-old left-hander smashed 138 not out in just 78 balls to help India post an imposing 387 for five for their best one-day total against a test-playing nation. It was the highest total England has ever conceded and end in one of their heaviest defeats after being bowled out for 229 despite fifties by skipper Kevin Pietersen (63) and Ravi Bopara (54).

Left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan took three quick wickets in an electrifying seven-over opening spell to trigger a top-order collapse from England.

The second match in the seven-match series will be played in Indore on Monday.

Put in to bat first, Indian batsmen made merry after seeing through the first few overs. England’s nemesis Yuvraj toyed with the bowlers to raise ninth ODI hundred, his second against the visitors. Yuvraj, who was suffering from a back spasm, dealt the bowlers in boundaries, and hit sixteen 4s and six 6s in his 78-ball long outing. Everything that he hit found itself on the other side of the rope. His hundred was the second fastest ton by an Indian.

Sachin hits 40th Test ton, puts India in driver’s seat

Good Evening friends, another century from my favorite cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. He hit his 40th Test century. Congratulations to Sachin. Read complete update I read at yahoo india site.

Sachin Tendulkar gave glimpses of his vintage form by cracking his 40th Test century which had eluded him for long as India recovered from early jolts to push for a big total in the fourth and final cricket Test against Australia in Nagpur on Thursday.

The 35-year-old Tendulkar stole the limelight with a flurry of strokes and capitalised on two dropped catches to pull the team out of the pits and steer the visitors to a comfortable 311 for five at close on the opening day.

It was a huge relief for Tendulkar who had gone without a century for the last 15 Tests and faced some anxious moments before completing the milestone. The champion batsman had his share of luck as he was first dropped by Mitchell Johnson when on 85 and then by Brett Lee on 96 and faced some nervous moments before completing the century, his tenth against the Australians. His last century had also come against the Aussies — 153 in the fourth and final Test in Adelaide in January this year.

Tendulkar thus overtook Allan Border of Australia in the number of plus-50 scores in his career 91 (including 39 tons) as compared to the former Australian captain’s 90.

India romp to historic win over Australia

Good Evening friends,

It’s Exitement all over india. I like to call it Diwali gift from Indian Cricket team to all Indian cricket lovers. Indian win the second test match at mohali. India wrap up Aussies in style and win by 320 runs The complete news I fond on Time of India website.

India completed a crushing victory over Australia by a record margin of 320 runs in the second Test on Tuesday to seize a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.

Left-arm paceman Zaheer Khan grabbed three wickets in four balls and Australia, chasing an improbable victory target of 516 runs, were dismissed for 195 before lunch. It was only Australia’s second defeat in 28 Tests since their 2-1 loss in the 2005 Ashes series against England.

Both reverses have come against India. “We were outplayed,” Australia captain Ricky Ponting said. “In batting, bowling and probably in fielding as well.”

It was India’s biggest ever Test win by runs, bettering their 280-run success over South Africa in Kanpur in 1996. Khan struck in the first over to dismiss Brad Haddin and snuff out any slim Australian hopes of salvaging a draw.

Australia vice-captain Michael Clarke top-scored with 69 before being the last man out, pulling leg spinner Amit Mishra to mid-wicket. Mishra finished with a match haul of seven for 106 after claiming five wickets in the first innings on his Test debut.

An off-colour Australia, reduced to 141 for five overnight, subsided against pace and spin on a slow Mohali pitch. Khan struck his first blow when he bowled Haddin on his overnight score of 37 with a perfect off-stump yorker.

In the next over, he forced Cameron White (1) to edge a drive to give wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni a low catch and he bowled Brett Lee first ball to be on a hat-trick.

Clarke, who added 84 runs for the sixth wicket with Haddin, put on another 50 for the ninth with Mitchell Johnson (26) before Mishra had the tail-ender caught and bowled.

Harbhajan Singh took five wickets in the match to leave himself one short of becoming the third Indian bowler to claim 300 Test wickets.

Sachin Tendulkar claimed the world record for most Test runs and Sourav Ganguly struck 102 in his farewell series to help India amass 469 in their first innings. The first Test in Bangalore ended in a draw. The third Test starts in New Delhi on October 29.

India beat Sri Lanka & win series

Good Morning friends, today is Thursday, August 28, 2008. My day started with prayer at Dadaji’s house as today is Thursday.  Back home I was reading new paper and I read this new which make me feel proud. As you all know I love game of crick too much. India won their first one-day series in Sri Lanka. This is first every win of one-day series in Sri lank by Indian crick team. Being Indian I take proud on my self, my country team beat Sir Lank in their home country. I like to Congratulate Mahendra Dhoni and rest of all the team member and wish best of luck for future matches.

India won their first one-day series in Sri Lanka, triumphing by 46 runs at the Premadasa as the hosts lost consecutive home series for the first time.

India captain Mahendra Dhoni continued his fine form, hitting 71 and putting on 143 from 141 balls with Suresh Raina (76) as India were all out for 258.

Left-arm seamer Thilan Thushara took a career-best 5-47 for Sri Lanka.

But despite a blistering 60 from the veteran Sanath Jayasuriya, Sri Lanka’s batsmen were dismissed for 212.

The match, originally scheduled for Tuesday, had been postponed by a day because of rain.

And India, who had won the previous two games in the five-game series after losing the opener, put in a fine bowling performance to steal the series.

Harbhajan Singh found excessive turn under the floodlights in Colombo, and his figures of 3-40 were instrumental in providing India with the cutting edge they needed to press home their advantage.
