Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.

This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions — that time has surely passed.

Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done.

The state of our economy calls for action: bold and swift. And we will act not only to create new jobs but to lay a new foundation for growth.

We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.

We will restore science to its rightful place and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality…

… and lower its costs.

We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.

All this we can do. All this we will do.

Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions, who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short, for they have forgotten what this country has already done, what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose and necessity to courage.

What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them, that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long, no longer apply.

MR. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works, whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.

Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end.

And those of us who manage the public’s knowledge will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched.

But this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control. The nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous.

The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on the ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart — not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.

Our founding fathers faced with perils that we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations.

Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience’s sake.

Monday, October 20, 2008. A new week started today. This week looks busy from today because many task to finish in this week. New week will be diwali vacation, so we have to finish in this week. One more appreciation for my state. GSRTC was awarded by the government of India for leading in economic use of diesel.

Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) was awarded by

the Government of India for leading in economic use of diesel. During 200

5-06, GSRTC had shown an average of 4.72 km per litre.

Despite this, the corporation introduced fuel saving measures. This included proper maintenance, imparting suitable training to drivers, maintaining speed control

of vehicles. All these helped the corporation to increase average to 4.91 km per litre during 2006-07.

India State Road Transport Undertaking and Ministry of Road Transport & Highway, Government of India, found GSRTC one of the leading transportation corporations in the country for minimizing their average fuel consumption.

“The corporation took care to use the spare parts of only standard companies in the ST buses. This helped to decrease the breakdown from 1.30 during 2005-06 to 0.88 during 2006-07 per 10,000 km. The utility range per vehicle during 2006-07 per day increased to 376.55 km, which was a record,” says transport commissioner GS Aloria.

The award was given by the president of All India State Road Transport Undertaking to Gujarat ST Nigam in New Delhi recently.

Good Morning Friends, Saturday, September 27, 2008.

Day started little late today as I weak up late. I went to bed late last night as me and my wife were sitting together and after long long time we talk with free mind. We went to bed around 1-45 am. Still I was able to weak up at 5-45 am. Reach garden at 6-00 am and I walked and make my self charged for today.

Today is 4^th Saturday of month; we are having medical camp at matar tomorrow. At my office we keep off on all Saturday who comes before 2^nd and 4^th Sunday. I stay with family and reach office around 10-00 am.

I am reading my blogs and also comments on my blog. I find one comment from one of my reader who asks me what is the status of that Surrogate baby who belong to japans parents. I try to find out the status of that baby and found that The Japanese government has indicated they will allow her entry if requested. The news I found on web is below.

A baby stuck in India in legal limbo after being born to an Indian surrogate mother for a now-divorced Japanese couple will be allowed to leave for Japan.

The Indian government said Monday it will issue a special travel document for the baby, who is stateless and not eligible for a passport.

The Japanese government has indicated it will allow her entry if requested.

The child was born July 25. A Japanese man in his 40s arranged the birth using an egg from an anonymous donor via a fertility clinic in western India. Legal problems arose when the man got divorced before the baby’s birth.

Good Evening Friends, I just got this shocking new “Serial blasts rock Delhi; 18 dead”.I got this news at 8-00 pm,, more updates will be there and more causalities  and more injured will be there. News is as under.

Five explosions rocked three crowded markets in Delhi on Saturday evening, leaving at least 18 people dead.

The blasts at Ghaffar market in Karol Bagh, Connaught Place and Greater Kailash (M-block) took place in a quick succession, police said.

The first blast took place at Ghaffar market in which at least 20 people were injured. They were rushed to nearby RML Hospital.

Immediately after that, two explosions took place in Connaught Place in which at least 10 people were injured.

Another explosion rocked M-Block market in Greater Kailash-I.

The impact of the blasts in Karol Bagh could be gauged by the fact that an auto was thrown up and got caught in the electrical wires.

Senior Police officials including Joint Commissioner of Police Karnail Singh rushed to the spot in the central district and were assessing the situation.

Indian Mujahideen claims responsibility

In an email to media organisations, Indian Mujahideen, the terror outfit that had claimed responsibility for the July 26 Ahmedabad blasts, said it had carried out the serial blasts in Delhi. It threatened that there would be nine blasts in all.

Sarojini Nagar market, scene of the pre-Diwali eve blasts in 2005, in which more than 60 people were killed, has been evacuated.

Two days after his meeting with the Prime Minister seeking early approval for presidential nod to the Gujarat Control of Organised Crime (GUJCOC) Bill, Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged the expatriate Gujaratis to send e-mails to Manmohan Singh in this regard.

Addressing the World Gujarati Conference 2008 in New Jersey, USA, through video-conference, Modi said that strict laws like GUJCOC, which has already been cleared thrice by the state legislative assembly, are required to curb the menace of terrorism.

He said the ‘Gujarat model of development’ is now being applauded across the country and the development process cannot be halted by terror attacks.

On the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Gujarat’s statehood, Modi asked every Gujarati to work towards making ‘Golden Gujarat’ a reality by 2010.

Speaking about the potential for an IT boom in the state, he said Gujarat remains the only state in the country that has provided broadband connection to nearly 17,000 villages. He urged the expatriates to invest in businesses across the state, and he invited them to attend the Global Investors Summit to be held in January next year.

Modi addressed the meet via satellite for the third consecutive year since 2005, when he was reportedly denied a visa to the US. The Association of Indian Americans of North America has organised the conference.

Today is August 27, 2008. I was reading newspaper timesofindia and i find this news. It is something i want others to know that a Nine year boy fights a brave battle. i like to share the news article.

He is just nine, but Yash has battled death like few can. The youngest victim of the terror attacks, after days of ups and downs, hope and despair, shines like a ray of hope, with his wounds healing slowly but surely. 
 

Yash lost his brother Rohan , 11, and father Dushyant Vyas in the bomb blast in the Civil Hospital. Ignorant of the huge loss, the boy is showing good signs of recovery. 
 

Yash is now waiting for skin graft procedure on his back and parts of his arms and legs that have sustained deep burns. “His wounds are healing well. Twenty-five per cent of the burns still remain which require skin-grafting ,” said attending plastic surgeon Dr Srikant Lagvankar. 
 

Doctors say that Yash is now well enough to ask for Maggi noodles, cream biscuits and even his favourite sevtameta shaak. “Yash has been eating vegetables and one egg daily to get his nutrition right,” says Dr Lagvankar.
 

And, there are reports that his mother Geeta might get a job at the Civil Hospital, where her husband worked in the cancer department. Geeta’s fears now revolved around the fact that the news of his father and brother’s death will leave Yash shattered.
 

Yash has often inquired about his father and Rohan and has been told that they are recuperating elsewhere in the hospital.
