Species listed under the Wildlife Protection Act are taken care of so that they are not traded, but it is unfortunate that the species that are not endemic but traded are not given enough attention.

For survival
* Diet
Healthy guppies, goldfish, frogs or shrimps make a good stable diet. Dropping any fish into their space turn the Arowanas into carnivores
* Temperature
Best between 24 and 30 degree Celsius, and a pH level between 7.0 and 7.5
Jumping fish
* Asian Arowana or Golden Arowana (`Scleropages Formosus’) may live for many years. They live over 20 years in captivity
* Lowering the aquarium temperature might also make them look young longer than they would in a higher temperature
* Often spotted swimming on the surface and are capable of jumping from the aquarium. The aquarium must be well-covered. Silver Arowana in the wild have been known to jump at insects in trees!
* Generally, a healthy Arowana fish grows to 24-30 inches (60-75 cm). Some varieties grow to 48 inches (120 cm) in the wild
Vaastu value
* According to vaastu principles, if placed in the right direction, any problem likely to hit the family kills the fish first
* It is believed that keeping these fish at home gives one mental relaxation by watching their movements
* They are mainly seen as a balancing element — as pets, they bring prosperity and happiness in one’s life

Good morning friends. Whenever I read a new, an article, I made sure that I’m reading some of spiritual thoughts. Stephen R. Covey, has a good thought that made me focus on this while reading. I want everybody knows how he presented this thoughts. It’s a good one.
Regardless of whether we live in the US, India or anywhere else, family is the building block of any society, and our greatest fulfillment lies there. Of course, one needs to give due importance to work. But if any society works diligently in every other area but neglects the family, it would be the same as straightening deck chairs on the Titanic.
We all seek happiness but what most of us discover is that happiness is a home-made product. If you have strong and effective relationship with family members — whether living together or apart — the resultant good vibes and mental solace tend to overflow into all other aspects of life. When your family is heading in the right direction, you are better able to perform and focus at work. On the other hand, if things aren’t going well at home, it is difficult to be deeply happy anywhere else. Thus, it is supremely important that at home, with your family, you concentrate on creating a beautiful family culture.
Marriage is more than a contractual relationship — it is a promise from each individual to stay true to their love and commitment. While I can’t tell you how to choose the right mate, I can advise you to determine what your values and principles are — and who might be a complimentary companion. – The Times of India

Busy Saturday, I was out of station for one social reason. Back to ahmedabad around 2-00pm. I am at office at 3-00 pm, than routing office work and busy with weekend task. We are going to have diwali holiday in our office from Tuesday to Saturday. All the working days except Monday. It’s diwali vacation in office.
I like to remind you just ONE day left before begaining of Diwali. From tomorrow Festival of Diwali going to starts. One of the biggest festivals of Hindus, Deepawali or Diwali in India is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and happiness. This festival is celebrated for five continuous days, with the third day being celebrated as the main Diwali or as ‘Festival of Lights’.
Diwali festival is a 5 day Hindu festival in India which occurs on the fifteenth day of Kartika. Diwali when translated means “rows of lighted lamps” and the occasion is also referred to as the Festival of Lights. Fireworks are always associated with this festival. The day is celebrated with people lighting diyas, candles all around their house. Lakshmi Puja is performed in the evening to seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. Diwali gifts are exchanged among all near and dear ones.
First day of Diwali is Dhanteras. I will talk on it next post.
