Today, Saturday, August 15, 2009.  India, the world’s biggest democracy, celebrates its 63rd Independence Day reminding the masses of an end to British rule on August 15, 1947. 

 I am Proud to be an Indian.

Me and Dhyaan together in my office.  Dhyaan visited me before his birthday.  He likes to be taken some shots, that’s why you can see there that he is not moving.

Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.

This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions — that time has surely passed.

Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done.

The state of our economy calls for action: bold and swift. And we will act not only to create new jobs but to lay a new foundation for growth.

We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.

We will restore science to its rightful place and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality…

… and lower its costs.

We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.

All this we can do. All this we will do.

Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions, who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short, for they have forgotten what this country has already done, what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose and necessity to courage.

What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them, that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long, no longer apply.

MR. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works, whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.

Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end.

And those of us who manage the public’s knowledge will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched.

But this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control. The nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous.

The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on the ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart — not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.

Our founding fathers faced with perils that we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations.

Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience’s sake.

Year 2008 is just going away from all of us. In next 8 hours, calendars are going to change their year from 2008 to 2009. World is going to change the YYYY from 2008 to 2009. Year 2008 is having its own memory for each of us and for me too. All of us are going to carry the good and bad memory of year 2008 with us in year 2009.

I like to carry the positive and good memory of year 2008 in year 2009. For negative and painful memory of year 2008 I just learn a lesson and going to delete those negative memories from my memory. I am going to do control + delete, so it be deleted for ever. I am going to carry only positive and good memory of year 2008 in 2009.

Countdown started for diwali. From Sunday diwali is going to stats as it’s Laxmi Pooja day. Today is Tuesday, so ONLY 5 days left for diwali. That keeps us busy all the time with work as well as family and social life too. It is diwali behind everyone’s running in this week. My family starts planning for how many type of sweets we will have this time, how many fried snacks and how many dry , all planning done last night. So, today is day to purchase row material for the same and Friday is day for the production.

Friends, you all will surprise to know that in diwali at my house only we are having more than 12-15 types of food ( which includes sweets, dry fruits and dry snacks ) every year. More than Rs.5000/- sweet just we keep for the guest who are going to visit us during diwali time and after diwali. We keep more than 4 type of cold drink and 3-4 type of ice cream. Question come in your mind, for whom all these things are keeping ready and how it’s going to be used.

As a part of our Gujarati tradition, People visit each other’s house on New Year day and after that. So, when someone visits my house, we offer Happy New Year and as a symbol of happiness and joy, we offer sweet. We offer some snacks first, than sweet, than either cold drink or ice cream. This is the way we greet New Year wish to all.

This Year, we have change our plan and going to apply a new and more health conscious approach. Wait for next post to know that. Wait……………

Day started with walk and other routine stuff.  Many of my blog readers want to see me live. It is not possible to be on cam for them. I tried to record my short video for them. You can view Dhirendra Patel here.

Good Morning friends,

After a long time I was free on Sunday and was with family all the day. As yesterday was first Sunday of the October, we have 3SRB sebir at Manav Parivar. It finish around 10-00 am. From 10-00 am onwards I was at home with family.

Diwali is going to come in last week of October. In my house it’s time for Diwali cleaning. You all will surprise to know this word Diwali Cleaning? Diwali cleaing is the act to clean the whole house at the time of Diwali festival. In Gujarat and particularly in ahmedabad, when Festival of Diwali comes people use to clean there house. People renovate the house, people get it repaired, and people clean everything if house. Same situation is there in my hosue too.

From last 4 days it was going on and on Sunday it was the tourn of our drawing room and my bed room. So, I was given instruction from morning that I have to stay outside the room all the day today, no rest, no sleep, just have to keep all the kids with me for One day today. I stay in joint family and I am having 6 kids in the family. We are having The (D) SMART team in my family. D- Smart team is made of following team members. The (D)Dhyaan Patel, Shivam Patel, Maharshi Patel, Aastha Patel, Rishi Patel, Tirth Patel.

I am going to talk on each of these D –Smart team member in next post. In the evening it was really good time, we all sit together for 4 hours. After long time we all were able to sit together for these much long.  We also planed to have wood blinds instead of curtains in our home. There are several different types of window blinds and shade products to choose from and we can purchase blinds online. We decided to take the measurement first.  I was thinking if we don’t have Sunday than the life is? I want to conclude with the comment that Yes, Sunday makes me relax and recharge me for this new week starts from today.
