Good Morning friends,
Today is Thursday, full moonday and also Birthday of Lord Hanuman. We worship him in Thursday morning’s prayer. I like to share with you little about Lord Hanuman.
Who is Hanuman?
Hanuman known also as ‘Anjaneya’ (son of Anjana) or Maruti (or Maruti nandan), is one of the most popular concepts of devotees of God (bhakti) (devotion to God) in Hinduism and one of the most important personalities in the Indian epic, the Ramayana. His most famous feat, as described in the Hindu epic scripture the Ramayana, was leading a monkey army to fight the demon King Ravana.
Temples and worship
Admired for his great strength, Hanuman is traditionally prayed to by wrestlers and boxers in India and Southeast Asia. There are numerous temples for Hanuman, and his images are usually installed at all temples where images of avataras of Vishnu are installed. Hanuman temples can be found in many places for the reason that the area and the surroundings are free from rakshasas and ‘evils’. This was a presentational ‘Varam’ to him by Rama and Sita. Hanuman idols are found on mountain roads because it is believed that he protects people from accidents.
Sankat Mochan Shri Hanuman Mandir, located in the Punjab town of Phillaur, is Asia’s tallest temple of lord Hanuman ji. The total height of temple is 121 feet and Hanuman ji statue’s height is 67 feet. This is a very famous temple in Punjab, people from all over the world come to see it.

He is the best, my super hero.. and all I want is to see him before I die.. to fall at his feet and close my eyes..

Thanks. Lord Hanuman is the living God of the world. I believe and worship him. He is only the link to heaven as per God Vishnu’s verses in Ramayan. Only lord Hanuman can take us to the Heaven.

Well what can I say about Hanumanji? I am very small to write about him. All I can say that it was Hanumanji itself who had taken me into his shelter. I was a wandering nomad in terms of Dharma and it was him who taught me what religion means. It is not about following certian formalities but being pure and clean by heart for what you are doing. I started reading Shri Hanuman Chalisa when I even didn’t know its meaning but I felt after some time that by reading this I can actually feel his blessings and it was a miracle. Slowly and slowly I started reading Shri Sankat Mochan Hanumannashtak and Hanumanji ki Aaarti and Shri Bajrag Ban. Recently I read Ramayan by C. Rajagopalachari and recited 100 times Shri Hanuman Chalisa. So you see what actually means seeing him in person according to me is a series of events happening in your life that will automatically induce and crop and inculcate in your heart a love for him and you become famililiar with him every day through some or other means. I mean by reciting his name you automatically will come in touch with his various prayers and incidents that took place in Ramayan. It is his love indeed that I am writing this today. I live because of him and I am alive because of him.
Saved Shri Laxmana’s life by bringging the entire hill on his shoulders.
He is not only powerful but a naughty child and full of kindness and beauty. His streangth, power, wisdom, valour, intelligence and beauty will attain you eternal bliss.
Remember Shri Ram was the most powerful example of a perfect decision making, judgement, law and fulfillment of Dharma, Shri Laxman a perfect brother and Maa Sita a women who can never be born. A real Janani, wife and a woman who will make your thought pure once you recite her name. Lord Ram was himself a God and an example of a perfect Human Being.
It was Lord Hanumanji who did the following things:-
1) Search Maa Sita by flying across the oceans and destroying enemies in sea.
2) Maa Sita was hopeless and sad and was about to give her life when the sweet song indicating that Main Raam Doot Hanuman has come to save her. Just feel the pain Maa Sita was going through and what she might have felt when Hanumanji rescued her. Ohh.. What a saviour he was. He himself is a God.
3) Hanumanji put Lanka on fire and killed the Rakhshasas at Ashok Vatika.
4) Hanumanji took the decision that Ravana would be killed by Shri Raam with Maa Sita and Jambuvan.
5) Hanumanji was very loyal to Sugreev and because of him only Lord Rama came in touch with him and Vaali was killed and Vaali also admitted his mistake at last to Lord Rama and Vaali was also a brave warrior.
6) Hanumanji Promoted leadership in Angad.
7) Hanumanji Made Vibhishana come in their Army and it was a very intelligent decision.
9) It was because of Hanumanji that Sugreeeva and Vibhishana became kings.
10) If Hanumanji wwould not have been there then nothing would have happened as mentioned because he was from the time to defeat Vaali, Recover Maa Sita and save her from death, include Vibhishana who knew the secreat to kill Ravana and it was discovered later and save Shri Laxmana and carried them on shoulders across the see.
Just trust and love him. I never knew that I will write about him one day. I still say I am nothing before him but it is Hanumanji who is giving me the priviledge to write about him today. Please forgive me if I am wrong somewhere. Be honest, true by heart and love him and you will find success, fulfilled dreams, courage, eternal bliss, reciting his name and prayers automatically and come close to him and feel his glory and love. I live under his blessings and want that he loves and blesses me throughout.
I love you and respect you a lot Hanuanji.
