Good morning friends. As I was working here on my table, just taking my eyes to relax, I came across with the news about the missile.
India on Sunday test fired supersonic surface to surface ‘BrahMos’ missile. Test of supersonic cruise missile was conducted in Pokharan in Rajasthan and it successfully hit its target near Ajasar.

India Successfully Test Fired BrahMos cruise missile
This was the third test-firing of the latest Block II version of the missile.
Earlier, two tests were held on January 20 and March 4.
Chief of Army Staff General Deepak Kapoor and several high officials and DRDO scientists were present.
BrahMos cruise missile with a striking range of 290 km, can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land.
The ship-launched and land-based missiles can carry a 200-kg warhead, whereas the aircraft-launched variant can carry a 300-kg warhead.
BrahMos missile derives its name from the Brahmaputra River in India and Moscow River in Russia.

Good morning friends. School authorities say CBSE is more flexible than state board, allowing schools to teach books other than those prescribed by them, leading to overall knowledge enhancement of the child. This thought will benefit more students.
To prepare for an increasingly competitive world, parents in Gujarat are increasingly opting for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools. So much so that students will be spoilt for choice. As many as CBSE schools have been granted permission in different cities across the state. About 35 of these would begin from this academic year.
Sources said over 100 schools had applied for affiliation to the central board and that more schools are expected to offer the syllabus from academic years 2010 and 2011. Those managing schools say parents are demanding CBSE as they feel the textbooks are of better quality and prepares their children for competitive exams.
Interestingly, Surat has got permission to start 13 CBSE schools —the highest in the state — followed by Vadodara (9), Valsad (6), Bharuch (7), Ahmedabad (4), Navsari (3), Kutch (2), Junagadh (2), Anand (2) and one each in Panchmahals, Kheda and Bharuch. Gandhinagar will also set up three CBSE schools from the coming academic year.
“We recently removed restrictions on providing NOCs to get affiliated to CBSE schools as more central schools would create healthy competition among schools in the state, ultimately helping students,” says Hasmukh Adhia, principal secretary education, Gujarat.
Schools in Ahmedabad that have got CBSE nod include Amrita Vidyalayam and Nirman High School, Vastrapur. Satvavikas School on SG Highway and Udgam School for Children, that have traditionally been offering the state board syllabus, will offer students the option of shifting to CBSE.
“Not just migrants, even Gujarati parents want to put their children in CBSE schools as they feel the syllabus is of higher quality and also prepares students for competitive exams,” says Raja Pathak of Satvavikas School.
“CBSE syllabus gives students an edge to compete in national competitive exams. We did extensive surveys of different boards before deciding on central board for our students,” says Gautam Choksi, trustee of Udgam School that will offer CBSE from class VIII.

Good Morning friends, ahmedabad join Earth Hour Campaign. I think this is something we all should know and we all should support. I like to raise my hands of support to this Earth Hour campaign. I have informed all my family members and friends to switch off power between 8:30 and 9-30 pm tonight. I wish maximum amadavadi join this movement. I read the complete news at times of india website. I am sharing that here.
Get ready for candlelight dinners and some romantic moments with your beloved. For, Saturday night could be darker than usual. No negative connotation here. It will be a wilful blackout on Saturday. The idea is to conserve energy.
This will be Ahmedabad’s turn to join the Earth Hour campaign after Delhi and Mumbai joined the movement. In Gujarat, the move has been initiated by a government-undertaking, Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA). The organisation has asked citizens to join in by keeping power in their houses switched off between 8.30 and 9.30 pm. GEDA has also decided to host a gathering at Kankaria Lake on Saturday evening where citizens will enjoy the conscious blackout.
“The event aims at gathering a huge crowd at one place so that much power is saved. The power will be cut off at Naginawadi also, except the lights needed for security purposes,” said Daksha Vaja from GEDA.
“The theme of the event is Save Energy, Save Earth. There will be audio messages that will be played at the venue to create awareness about importance of saving energy,” she said.
Not just GEDA, Gujarat Science City is also creating awareness among its volunteers to support the programme through its different school clubs across the state.
Le Meridien, Ahmedabad, too announced that it will participate in the Earth Hour. The hotel will turn off all non-essential interior lighting and will use candlelights in restaurants.
“We will switch off air conditioners, without compromising on customers’ comfort. We expect to save 500 KW per hour in Ahmedabad and 25 lakh KW per hour globally,” said manager Mrinal Sarkar.

Good Morning friends, Word is going towards worst financial condition. I read something which I like to share here. Banking to cover 100% Gujarat homes by April. It’s something being a Gujarati I take proud Each citizen of Gujarat is contributing towards the progress of state economy. Read the news I read at timesofindia website.
By April 15, not a single household covered under the last census in Gujarat will be left without a bank account. The state is all set to
achieve 100 per cent financial inclusion with banks providing banking facilities to each household.
Sources said Gujarat will be the fourth state, and the most populous one, to achieve 100 per cent financial inclusion after Kerala, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi.
Banks in Gujarat have so far opened 95.63 lakh banks accounts, covering 97 per cent households with basic banking service. Out of 26 districts, households in 24 districts have already been fully covered by banks. Ahmedabad and Surat are the two districts where coverage stands at 96 per cent as of now.
“We are striving to achieve 100 per cent target before the middle of April,” said Mukesh Kumar Jain, general manger, Dena Bank, and convenor of State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC).
There are in all 5,672 branches of banks in the state covering the population of just over five crore.
Based on the 2001 census, there were over 96.91 household, of which 53.45 lakh household were not covered under banking facilities. “All banks together have covered almost all the households under a drive launched in January 2006,” Jain added.
In November 2005, the Reserve Bank of India had announced a series of measures to include poorest of poor in the banking net and to free them from the clutches of unscrupulous money-lenders. Convenor banks of the SLBCs were given the responsibility of reaching 100 per cent financial inclusion.
The objective of the financial inclusion is to give benefits of all kind banking service to the people at affordable cost by opening bank accounts. Banking sources said that postal saving accounts are also covered under the drive.

Good Evening friends
Jade Goody died. She is gone now but the way she dies, isn’t it something which gives self-esteem to many others who are also suffering from life threaten deceases. Goody, 27, ill with cervical cancer, died at her home in Upshire, a village in southeast England at 3.14 a.m. GMT with her mother Jackiey Budden, husband Jack Tweed and family friend Kevin Adams by her side, her publicist Max Clifford said.

A smiling and always happy person! That’s what she was. When we are knowing that we are going to die—does it possible for us to remain happy the way Jade Goody did? People don’t able to smile and laugh in routing life, she was smiling and remain happy even though she knew that she’s going to die soon. I really must say that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea!
There are thousands of people all around the world who might knew that they are going to die soon. They all must be given reference to Jade Goody. Because a person who knew that he is going to die, will die any moment of his remaining life. Jade Goody teaches all of them how to die? There are many who can teach us how to live life but with Jade Goody she taught us how to die without any fear?
Many, many things and thoughts are there, going to share in next post.

Jade told IANS exclusively last month that she felt ‘honoured by India’s love’ and relayed ‘a big thank you’ to the thousands of Indians who sent her letters, emails and cards.
As British politicians led by Prime Minister Gordon Brown Sunday joined celebrities in paying rich tributes to Jade – he called her ‘courageous’ and praised her work in raising cancer awarness – Indian actors who had worked with her on last TV show described her as a ‘lively’ and ‘always smiling’ person.
‘I am feeling extremely sad… We were hoping that some miracle would happen and she would live for many more years,’ Ketaki Dave, one of Jade’s ‘Bigg Boss 2′ inmate, told IANS from the US.
Added another inmate and music reality show winner, Debojit Saha: ‘I can’t believe that she is no more with us. It all happened so fast and suddenly that I am not able to come to terms with it.’ Actor Raja Chaudhry, divorced husband of TV actress Shweta Tiwari, called her ‘a gem of a person’.
The Sultan of Brunei’s son Prince Azim, whose unexpected friendship with Jade in 2007 attracted much media attention, said: ‘Jade was a warm and lovely lady. My condolences to (husband) Jack (Tweed) and her family.’
All through Sunday, ordinary well-wishers left flowers outside Goody’s home in the village of Upshire in Essex. The actress’ funeral will be an eventful service and a ‘celebration of life’ as Jade had desired, publicist Clifford said.
‘Jade wanted a celebration of her life. It will be very much a Jade Goody Production with Jade doing her own thing her own way. It will be a celebration, but of course there will be a lot of tears,’ he said. No date has been set but it is likely in the next 10 days.

‘I think she’s going to be remembered as a young girl who has, and who will, save an awful lot of lives,’ Clifford said in a reference to the fact that cervical cancer testing has rocketed in Britain after her public battle with the disease. ‘She was a very, very brave girl. And she faced her death in the way she faced her whole life – full on, with a lot of courage.’
Goody, a working class woman from south London who worked as a dental nurse, shot to fame in 2002 when she appeared on the reality TV show ‘Big Brother’ and made an immediate impression with her feistiness, attracting critics and fans in equal measure.
But she became controversial in the celebrity version of the same show in 2007, when Channel 4 network expelled her after thousands of viewers complained she had racially bullied Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, who was on the same show.
Goody, who called the Bollywood star ‘Shilpa Poppadum’ and told her to ‘go back to the slums’ during run-ins, angered fans in India, who burnt Goody’s effigies during a visit by then Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown.
But before the incident could turn into a diplomatic row, Goody apologised, Smade up with Shetty, undertook a tour of India and – in a remarkable turnaround – bounced back in the public eye.
It was in India, while Goody was making an appearance on the Indian version of ‘Big Brother’, that British doctors told her she was suffering from cervical cancer. She flew back home for treatment but the cancer spread to her liver, bowel and groin.
Goody then allowed a television channel to film her being treated in a reality show called ‘Jade’. In tandem, British tabloids reported her every move and statement on a daily basis. She married her long-time boyfriend Jack Tweed last month and was christened with her sons this month.

Good morning friends. I don’t know if we have to be happy to know about Jade Goody. She is a good actress. Maybe with some they may think that as she was suffering from cervical cancer, it was good the it ends already. She will not feel the pain anymore. But with some, they feel bad about what happen to her. Many knows she was a good actress and she was loved by many. But the important thing is that she is already there beside our God. Feel no pain with God Almighty. It was reference in Yahoo News about her story. It was a heart touching story of Jade Goody.
Seven years after becoming Britain’s best known reality TV star, cancer-stricken Jade Goody died quietly in her sleep Sunday, earning handsome tributes from around the world, including India where she learnt last year that she did not have many months to live.
Goody, 27, ill with cervical cancer, died at her home in Upshire, a village in southeast England, at 3.14 a.m. GMT with her mother Jackiey Budden, husband Jack Tweed and family friend Kevin Adams by her side, her publicist Max Clifford said.
Goody’s mother said: ‘My beautiful daughter is at peace.’ The actress slipped into a coma-like state Saturday and was declared too ill to spend any time with her sons. Clifford said it was ironic that Goody had died on Mother’s Day.
The television star, who lived out her most intimate moments in front of the camera, struck media deals worth nearly a million pounds to secure the future of her two young sons – Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4.

Brendon McCullum joined Flynn at the crease to reach up to the set total by the tourists and set a decent lead to save the match for their side. But Harbhajan struck for the third time to cut short Flynn’s outing through Gambhir’s catch at forward short-leg. His 67 runs gave a sense of hope to beleaguered Kiwis which were soon diminished by the mighty Indians.
New Zealand struggled at 161 for 7 when skipper Daniel Vettori came in to revive Kiwi innings. He made 21 runs and gifted another Kiwi wicket to Harbhajan off Dhoni. Ian O’Brien entered next to partner McCullum and both played safe on 5 and 30 when New Zealand were 216/8 at tea.
O’Brien (14) stuck around for a while, supported McCullum well, who raised his 13th half-century of his Test career in the last session, and made his way out. It was yet again, Harbhajan who did the honors for India, clinching sixth wicket of the Test match.
McCullum (84) looked set to smash his third Test century but part-time spinner Yuvraj Singh spoiled the party with the help of Laxman at short fine-leg. 38-run lead was all the Kiwis could manage and India were virtually set for the first Test win since the Auckland Test in 1976.
India were all out for 520 runs with a lead of 241 runs. Tendulkar led Indian batting’s motivated performance. While three batsmen made half-centuries, Sachin raised a well-crafted hundred.

Good morning friends. We have again to cheer for the winning. With reference to NDTV Cricket, India made it again. India covered up New Zealand’s in its second inning on 279 with the hosts giving a 38-run lead in the 1st Test. They overpowered New Zealand by 10 wickets in the 1st Test to take 1-0 lead.
Zaheer Khan initiated the proceedings with the new ball and lanky Ishant Sharma joined him in. Daniel Flynn looked alert since morning and cautiously raised his third fifty of his Test career to take New Zealand past 100-run mark.
But Flynn-Taylor partnership could only add up 35 odd runs to the scoreboard as the latter gave away his wicket to Patel for mere 4 runs. Sehwag took a neat catch to give early breakthrough to the visitors. Jesse Ryder stepped in next when New Zealand struggled on 110 for 4.
Ryder was expected of some consistency with his form but failed to live up to the hopes and added just 21 runs to the board before he fell to India ace spinner Harbhajan Singh. He caught him plumb before the wickets. James Franklin then joined Flynn who looked set in the middle.
Flynn and Franklin were careful enough to push New Zealand past 150-run mark. At the stroke of lunch, the hosts managed 146 runs at the loss of five wickets. First session saw 71 runs being added to the scoreboard at the cost of two wickets.
Harbhajan Singh continued with his spell and signaled danger for the depleted Kiwi batting line-up. Franklin (14) was his next victim, who gave an easy catch to Munaf at point.
